Well today I took him to vet to find out everything wrong with him. He had lymes but nothing too serious. Got doxy for that & made sure he didn't have heartworms. So as we were trying to figure out how to incorporate him into the household with introductions.
The owner called had seen one of my flyers and the telephone number had washed off. He drove around to find another flyer and found our number. He was just picked up tonight. It was kinda bittersweet as he was such a gentle soul and we will miss him. But I am so glad he is back home with his people. Come to find out he was a dumped dog about 5 years ago and they took him in, so I felt good about him going home.

You prolly saved this doggies life. I'm sure you were getting attached to him. Did the owner offer to reimburse you for your vet expenses?

Yes he did and I refused as I told him it was my choice to take him. But he insisted and gave me money. Sounds like a very nice family.
