Hey Catt

The old girl has some lumps on her back that seem to be a bit tender if you touch them. I'm going to make a vet appt. on Monday. Any ideas what it might be? She's almost 14, seems to feel okay.....

Have them looked at but most old dogs get lumpy. Usually it's nothing to worry about.

I'll take her next week. She seems fine. Tom found them and got me all worried.

We got blocked from the forums today. I hope it's a temporary thing.

My Golden had a lot of them. My old lab mix has one on his chest. They are more than likely just fatty tumors.

Are they painful to your dog when you touch them?

My lab seems bothered by the one on his chest if I fool with it. It's been there a good while and has been checked by the vet every time he goes for his checkups.

I'll just take her in next week. She is such a sweetie.

My Sheltie had one on his paw that didn't bother him. It was benign. I wish we hadn't had it removed, because the recovery from that was far worse than the tumor was.

She's got one mid-back on one near her neck. I'm worried. On the other hand, our cat, shutupcat, is doing just fine.

Are they hard or soft?
