| 10 whacks with the "board of education" and a trip to the woodshed when he got home worked but it's more progressive to ruin the kid for life |

| Stupid stupid school board. Instead of teaching him a lesson, they've probably changed his whole attitude towards school. Stupid. WTH are they teaching school administrators these days?

| Violated MD State Education Law relating to the possession of a weapon on school grounds. He could have been expelled. As it is he's receiving the maximum punishment for which the teachers will be required to send makeup work home for him to do. They're excused absences. |

| So this article is old and a decision has been reached? The article stated he faces a board where he could be expelled at the end of the 10 day suspension.

| Then convince the Legislature to rein in the State Board of Ed (where these regs are developed) and then change the law. This kid won't be expelled, the seller might be. As it is the suspension is shaky as he wasn't found to be in possession on school grounds. As a note I've been in schools where one of my students was stabbed to death at school (that was in PA, a school in the middle of the middle of nowhere) and one here where the kid was shot in front of the Main office. Weapons in school, no matter how harmless the situation really is, are a problem. |

"Weapons in school, no matter how harmless the situation really is, are a problem" That is not the case. Years ago 12yr old boys all brought their rifles to school during hunting season. They then went hunting when school was let out. The REAL problem is the moral decay of society promulgated by the public school system and morally corrupt churches. Teach children they all come form Monkeys, then why complain when they start acting like it.?? The public school system is corrupt beyond repair and can not be reformed. The only viable solution is to bring your children back home where it is safe and sound and they learn about how a moral foundation is necessary for a free society to thrive. Let the corrupt system collapse on itself which it is doing more and more every year. | |
