| 7th grade science project I am looking for an incubator for my daughters 7th grade hand sanitizer science project. In looking online they look like something in a hospital laboratory and are very expensive. Does anyone know where I can find a simple one to use/borrow/buy to help her do this? Please call Bill at 240-577-8671, I appreciate it. thank you. |

| Aquarium, light and thermometer? Regulate temp with bulb wattage, distance, and venting the top. Simple enough? |

| Sluggo's right. The easiest incubator is an incandescent light bulb in an enclosure. If you don't have an acquarium, almost anything in the way of junk will work, from an old Crab bushel basket to a corrugated cardboard box. Just make sure the bulb is suspended in such a way that it doesn't contact the sides of the container or the object being incubated. You can use a simple room thermometer to check the temperature in the enclosure. I recommend a dry run of a few hours (nothing in the container but the light bulb) to see what the temperature gets up to, and then you can make adjustments like cutting vents or changing the wattage of the light bulb to achieve something close to what you're looking for in terms of temperature. Also, be careful to also check the temperature of the container in the vicinity of where the light bulb's suspended. We don't want to risk a fire or melting plastic. |

| I would never post my phone number on a forum.
