Calvert County Public Schools Reschedules Budget Hearing

Calvert County Public Schools Reschedules Budget Hearing

The Calvert County Public Schools hearing on the proposed fiscal year 2014 budget has been rescheduled for Thursday, February 7 at 7:00 p.m. at Calvert High School. The hearing was rescheduled because of inclement weather.

Immediately following the Superintendent’s budget presentation, members of the public may comment orally at the public hearing. In addition, citizens may submit written comments through email or traditional postal delivery. The Board of Education also schedules public comment time during each regular business meeting.

The Board considers all public comment and its own priorities as it considers changes to the proposed budget as presented by the Superintendent. Once the budget is approved by the Board, it is forwarded to the County government for inclusion in the County's budget. After the County approves its budget, the Board of Education gives final approval of the Board of Education's Adopted Operating Budget
