Kollege

How do students with a full load do it?? I have one - count it, ONE - class. I spend 3 hours 2 nights a week doing homework and studying, then tonight I crammed for 4 hours because I have a test tomorrow.

This class happens to be Statistics, but I had the same homework/study load when it was Engrish 1010 and even worse when it was Algebra. Yes, I got an A in English and a high B in Algebra, and I'll most likely get an A on the test tomorrow but geez...

Am I just dumb and lazy? How do these kids do this with 5 or more classes and still pull good grades???

Guessing dumb

Na I believe that most kids were conditioned at a young age inefficient ways to learn.

As a freshman in college my friends and I thought we were supposed to do every math problem in the book (homework wasnt collected) to really learn the stuff but all that did was led to students that only knew how to do those problems, throw something different and them and they were lost. About my senior year I had a revelation, I basically quit doing all homework and just paid really good attention (and participated in class) to get a solid understanding of the theory behind what I was supposed to learn, my grades went up, soon as class was over I didn't open the book and I spent most of my free time womanizing and enjoying college to the point of being a cliche of the drunk college student.

I had to do 6 classes a semester and a full load during two summer sessions each year so I could finish in 3 years and get back to work.

Remember homework is only hard and time consuming if you do it!

Hard to get away with not doing homework in programming and other classes... but once you master the artbof writing bullchit a LOT of classes get a lot easier.

You are taking short-course studies if I'm not mistaken. That concentrates the teaching and study load into shorter time and it's harder (when you're of a certain age) to focus and get the work done. Plus you are a full-time entrepreneur with a business to run at the same time.

Statistics kicked my ass. I got an 'A'... but I have never struggled so much.

I totally get what you are saying! I'm having the same experience. I don't know how old you are, but it definitly gets harder the older I become.

Those students with a full course load generally do not work and socialize only with others that have a full course load. The rhythm of their lives is different.
