See here = Verse 15, Thou shalt not steal.

And here = verse 13, Thou shalt not murder.

That does not mean God is on my side, but it does mean that I am on God's side in this case.

Missperky got to the question of why inmate suicides would be a bad thing before I could, but I do have these questions...

Of course you do. You sympathize with people the likes of the assailants in the Newsom / Christian abduction/torture/murder, and the meth addict who ran over several children in La Plata, and, of course, any parent who chooses to disown their children.

I corrected that to say what you meant.

Oh, so you would "de-educate" them on the value of following laws, rules and general norms of society? Certainly there could be no better example than yourself to upturn that establishment.

(I know you'll take that as a compliment... but it's not one.)

Quite honestly I like the idea of taking out the TVs too, but not as a means of punishing them but as a means of de-educating the prisoners of the societal poisons.

The TV keep people just as brain drained in jail as the TV keeps people brain drained on the outside of jail in our society.

In jail the inmates could watch educational programing just like out in the free world but they stick to the brain dead channels like sports, music and sitcoms.

I was in jail and for a short time few days the TV was broken and we actually started talking about real and meaningful stuff, then they brought back the TV and the place went back to ignorant programing.

I see the TV just like books in that some few books and some few programs are beneficial and all others are junk.

The jails now have brought to society the low hanging pants and nuckle hand shakes, so take out those brain washing TVs and I believe the jails would improve big time for the de-education and un-brain washing of the prisoners which is what they really need.

It was society's norm that got most of the prisoners in trouble in the first place.

I did correct that statement in a later post saying that I do agree that the prisoners do need educated but I do not mean to be educated into being better at social norms as that got them into trouble in the first place.

I would like to educate the inmates on how to think independently and not to follow the sheep and about the correct ways of religion too.

Uh...

It is not the "norm" for people to steal from, assault, maim and otherwise afflict each other.

I know the Ten Commandments well enough thank you... I don't need the likes of you ramming down my throat what should be obvious to all people in a feeble attempt to validate your

As for you being on God's side.... I have not seen any evidence of you living a life that could be seen as just or holy. I think you insult God fearing people by using his name to back up your crap. I'm not even a Christian and it angers me to watch you spread your crap. In his name, no less.

A God fearing person would own up to his/her mistakes and work hard to make amends. Your a sanctimonious azz wipe and you have no business in politics or discussing rights and wrongs with anyone. You are a hypocrite, a fool and you should be silenced.

Jail isn't a place to have fun and watch tv and etc, it's a place were criminals go to spend time after they do a crime.
