She wants more money because he has it. That's all. Typical greedy ignorance. This woman fits right into the stereotype that rappers have about black women in their music (listen to "Gold Digger" by Kanye West).

I think I could muddle through with a mere $25,000 a month.

I only make $27,000/year.

She's just a greedy (fill-in-blank).

As a general rule, I would agree with you. But, just because people make more or less a year really isn't germaine to the issue, is it? This is his child, he made 33 million last year (according to the article). If he were to pay just 10% in child support, that would work out to $275,000/month. Rough math says that his child support is <1%.

Is that fair? Just because he's rich, should he follow different rules?

This highlights the fundamental flaw in the CPS.

A lot of what JPC says is (because JPC doesn't want to pay his child support) but, even though he's rich, he should not have to pay her living. In this case, yeah, I think he should follow different rules. Look, I don't like the guy or his music, but it sounds like he'd be paying enough Child Support for which this woman wouldn't have to work for a living (like most single mothers do).

$22,000/month is redicilous.

$33,000,000/year is rediculous for anything, let alone what this entertainer puts forth to our youth. None of that is really pertinent, though. This is just my opinion, and I don't mean to argue, but I can't imagine $330,000, let alone $33,000,000. In my opinion, using percentages IS the right way to go, and I feel confident no one would think <1% is a fair split on child support, even if it is more money than most of us can fathom.

If he didn't want to be taken by a gold digger, he should have watched where he placed his, uh, personal effects. If this child was with a woman he loved, would he limit his support to a child in his home this way? I suspect not.

First of all, it takes two to tango.

For most of us, yeah, percentages are the way to go. But forcing him to pay 10% of what he makes is just pointless.

Wouldn't you agree that the child probably isn't getting much of anything out of that $22,000/month and wouldn't you agree that that's not how much she needs to pay all the bills either?

The government and courts shouldn't be saying, alright 50 Cent, because you earn this much money, you have to give millions to this woman so she can live an absurd lifestyle as well.

He's paying MORE than enough for both of them to get by. Wherever else his $33,000,000+ goes, I don't care!

There are different rules for the Uber-wealthy. The "fundamental flaw" is that numbnuts like you and JPC without ever bothering to find out what the laws and rules really are.

I agree that there are different laws for the rich and for the poor.

But in child support the results are the same that the child support is only ONLY paying for extras and for luxuries.

So fitty cents can by GOD raise his children in modest means if he wants but the unjust child support system is ordering the child to be spoiled with riches and luxuries.

When the child turns 18 then fitty cents does not have to give that son squat.

So the child support law orders the child be spoiled against the parents own wishes and then at 18 the gov goes away like a thief in the night claiming it did no wrong.

This is evil gov laws, ignorant parenting police.
