Funny observation, Tice seems set on keeping them out of her pocket by opposing the M&O hike on owners, but has little reservation reaching into others pockets with regard to the hike on renters.

Reminds me of a t-shirt I had long ago from a bar in Anchorage Alaska called Chilkoot Charlies "We cheat the other guy and pass the savings on to you."
I don't mind paying as long as everyone is paying their fair share....

You are not asking for everyone to pay their fair share. You are asking the Properties owners to pay, and the Renters to ALSO pay, this is called Double Dipping, not Fair Share

Your Tenants pay $108 if there are only 2 of them per property and if there are more then it's $75.00 per person per property.....

And if Resolution #2 passes you would pay another $109.00 in M&O fee
So, the road fees are based per house, makes sense.
The "Special Taxing District", whatever the heck that is, is per property, makes sense.
For what services does the M & O fee pay? And, what does the Tenant fee pay?

The problem that arises when "their" fair share is deemed to be double "your" fair share.

the M&O fees mostly go to pay for all those people to sit over in the office building and for those thoroughly effective security gaurds we have, and to a lesses extent to keep up the amenities.
The tennet fees allow tennets to use the facilities, but basically is spent the same as the M&O fees.

My question is what are they spending the roads fees on if the STD has payed for the majority of the paving that has happened over the last few years?

If the M & O fees are basically the same as the tenant fees, why wouldn't there just be a single fee per household, that could be divided up the way those folks decided? What is the point of dual fees for the same services, I guess is my point.

The road fees are spent on road maintenance...

I really think in the winter our roads are better maintained than the county roads... but that's my personal opinion.... potholes are a different story...

The M&O fees pay for Services of the Staff, the Maintenance people... the people in the office, security, and it also pays for the electric, telephones, and insurance on the association. It pays for the postage to send out the Round up times and the paper to print it on... It would be cheaper to put it on line... and if I had the new budget in front of me I could give you a more detailed list.... but alas I am at work....

I have been maintaining my own road for 8 years... I had to beg for rock because I ran our of rock in my driveway to fill in the gullies on the road and my tires were sinking down in the ruts... and I was on the board... the roads are an equal opportunity problem.... I have a second piece of property it's a vacant lot and I would have to consider what to do with it under my own plan but hey... that's part of the idea.... we need to consider options... Some of the people running the committees in CRE only know 3 words "raise the fees" and they refuse to look at other options....

Was Midnightrider right; the M&O are the same as the Tenant fees? Why are there two fees?

they are...

and my point is becky, that there is no reason for us to pay roads fees if we are in a special tax district which is paying for our roads to be fixed. Why should we have to pay double?

M&O fees pay for the Maintenance & Operation of the facilities...only

Road fees pay for the Maintenance of the Roads

Special Taxing District pays for the paving of only those roads specifically listed in the document.

If any other road is paved then it comes out of roads
