I do not want him to take "heat". As I have posted before, I have never cast a single vote for Steny Hoyer (and I have told him as much), but fair is fair. I have found him to be very accessible, or at least his aides are because he is a busy man, and I do not expect him to spend one single second posting on these forums when he has other work to attend to.

I disagree with him wholeheartedly from a political standpoint, but you can't say he is inattentive to SoMD.

JPC are you saying that you used the term because you believe those having usually light skin pigmentation act differently than those that are more abundantly pigmented?

That sounds like a comfortable way of pampering Hoyer,

but I say quite candidly that Hoyer could never take the heat as Hoyer is not up to it.

Other people on this forum post from their jobs and we all have other things to do.

The reason for that could be, and probably is, because you work for SoMd dot com and so your attention to-and-from Hoyer is not general public access.

When SoMd dot com calls Hoyer then Hoyer answers, but for John Q. Public to call the Congressman then they get the run around.

You are making excuses for Hoyer here by saying Hoyer is too busy to post on the forum with the common citizens of Southern Maryland.

Why does not Hoyer make his own excuses - because Hoyer does not speak where Hoyer can be spoken back to, like we all do here.

In 1858 Abe Lincoln and the Douglas debates link HERE and they came right out in front of the public face to face but now his royal highness Steny Hoyer can not even speak on an Internet forum from his office or from his home because Hoyer is just soooooo busy - I say not, Hoyer can not stand in open discussion with the voters and Hoyer does not communicate the policies of 5th District but only dictates to his subjects.

Hoyer is said to have graduated law school and immediately got elected to the Maryland Legislature and in political office ever since, so Hoyer has never had a real job at all.

Never lost a job, never came up short for rent, never even one hard day.

That is twisted true.

Hoyer is inattentive to the poor and working poor and the needs of those that live in the community, but Hoyer is very attentive to Southern Maryland in pushing the greed growth for the benefit of the rich onto Southern Maryland.

Hoyer is very attentive to the rich and privledged, but Hoyer is not attentive to the high inflation here, the HIGH cost of housing, the overloaded schools, the increased crime rate and need for more police and new jail, so Hoyer is failing in any real Representation of this community.

If Hoyer came to this forum or any public open forum and people would tell Hoyer off - and rightly so.

Nope. You can make all the rationalizations you want, but my impressions of Steny Hoyer were formed long before I started doing Somd.com.

That is the job of the County Commissioners, not the US Representative. House members are legislators, not local problem-solvers. It would be nice if you actually knew the duties of the job you're seeking.

Since Hoyer is our Representative then there is no reason that this forum is beneath his dignity.

To pamper Hoyer like some "royal highness" that is too lofty to speak on the Community forum is not the American way.

Hoyer simply can not take the heat, as all of us do here.
We have a candidate who won't post here and one we can't make go away. I'll take the former.

Yes, but we are talking about the present now and not long ago.

Perhaps Steny was super long ago but Hoyer is a mis-Representation now.

I do know what the job of Congress Representative is, and Hoyer has abused his place.

Hoyer brags about overloading all of Southern Maryland link HERE and Hoyer dumps his greed driven growth onto Southern Maryland leaving the State and local gov to deal with Hoyer's excesses.

To say Hoyer is not behind the dumping of excessive growth onto Southern Maryland then you deny what Hoyer is bragging about.

So again Hoyer does not communicate with the citizens of Southern Maryland except for the rich and privledged.

Why is it that Hoyer can not speak about the high inflation in 5th District when it is Hoyer pushing the growth onto us?

The overloaded schools, the increased crime, the high cost of housing, etc., while you and other pretend that Hoyer is too far above the little details.

Blame it on the State or on the County Commissioners when it is Hoyer doing the dirty works by Hoyer's own words, see Hoyer link above.

What we have in Hoyer is a Representative that caters only to the rich and privledged.

What else do you have to do besides sitting on forums all day? (Visiting Jimmy, Jr. at the SMCDC does not count as "getting out".)

And previously, you said...

And if Hoyer (while "picking crabs") might speak to some citizen about a real issue then it is a private conversation and not open to public review.

Assorted functions and khaki clothing have nothing to do with communicating with the voters on real issues, and Hoyer does speak to the rich and privledged.
We can volley words back and forth and you will continue not believing anything, so I searched and found two videos for you.
Hoyer speaks to a freelance reporter at a public event;
At 35 seconds, Hoyer speaks during the 2007 National Night Out in Hyattsville... and he is obviously not speaking from a podium or hiding from people.

Okay, so when will you be coming out to speak to the public?

Oh, that's right, you have refused to enter into any debate with Hoyer or to make any other public appearance as a political candidate.

Like Vrai said, it's a shame you have no clue about the duties or demands of the job you seek. I don't agree with Hoyer most of the time, but at least I can respect him for not being a lazy bum - like you. There are probably dozens of community forums across MD; should Hoyer visit them all?

I'd say good for him, then. I know I don't enjoy being short on money, and I doubt many people do... hence why most of us work for something better than what we have now.

Countless people have told you off since you started here, and continue to do so every day, yet you somehow still believe people like you and that you have a chance of being elected.

Carry on with your delusions, señor Cusicko.

That would be your opinion. The growth that Steny negotiated for SoMD is a good thing, in my opinion. Frankly, if it weren't for the growth in this area, you wouldn't be posting on this forum right now because #1) this forum wouldn't be here, nor would Somd.com; and #2) there wouldn't have been a need nor the money to outfit the libraries with computers and internet access.

I believe that we must be concerned about others in our community and not just your own profit.

Oh, lord...

Psst, JPC, you're letting your anti-American, anti-capitalist, anti-success mindset show... again...
