Exclamation Deadline for change of party affiliation for 2008 Presidential Primary Election

FYI:

State law provides that before any regular Primary Election, a registered voter may not change their party affiliation or change to or from an “unaffiliated” status after 9:00 p.m. on the Monday that is 12 weeks or 84 days before the Primary Election. Therefore, a Maryland voter has until 9:00 p.m., Monday, November 19, 2007, to change political party affiliation.

The St. Mary’s County Board of Elections Office will be open until 9:00 p.m. on November 19 to accept walk in changes. The office is located at 41650 Tudor Hall Drive, Leonardtown. For more information, voters may contact the St. Mary’s County Board of Elections Office by calling 301-475-7844, extension 1611 or 1610.

Would it be dishonest of me to switch to the Democrats, so I can help choose the rival to my candidate?

Anyone know of anyone who does this?
