Enterprise article about Hoyer

Quote:
His withdrawal leaves two Republicans and one Democrat still in the race against incumbent Rep. Steny H. Hoyer, the House majority leader. The primary election is Feb. 12.

Somebody is running against Hoyer? Great campaign they are running. Heck, I didn't even realize Hoyer was up for re-election. I haven't seen signs for anybody other than Ron Paul.

Too bad...from the article, he sounds better than the other two to me:
Quote:
The 41-year-old U.S. Navy veteran who served in the Presidential Honor Guard for four years aimed to appeal to middle-class Americans with a moderate platform. To wit, he was pro-life but also supported same-sex civil unions.

Four-term Charles County Board of Education member Collins A. Bailey, 54, and Upper Marlboro lawyer Mike Hethmon, 53, will compete for the Republican nomination.
Anybody know if Chuck County schools are any good? I'd hate to have to vote for a lawyer :hockspit:

"Lexington Park resident James Patrick Cusick Sr., 51, is challenging Hoyer in the Democratic primary on an anti-growth platform."

I'm sure Steny is quaking in his boots!

He sounded good to me too. Again the money thing.
I was raised a liberal dem, but as I gt older and older, the libertarians look better and better than the two parties we have now.

Charles County Schools are improving. But, it's not the result of Collins Bailey. Most people here don't like Collins Bailey. The main reason he won re-election was because of money. He could afford to place the signs everywhere, and that's what he did. Name recognition.

I'd vote for Bailey over "Lexington Park resigent James Patrick Cusick, 51" anyday.

I'm not voting for either. I'll leave that part blank in the ballott. My money's on the lawyer from Upper Marlboro, though. I'm not sure that Waldorf can carry Collins Bailey all the way.

JPC's probably urinating his trousers because he was mentioned in the article. He'll repost the article later as an endorsement.

Considering the negative things that the paper could have written then this was a positive promotion for my campaign.

Only 50.1 % and then I win the election on February 12, 2008.

That's 50.0% more of the vote than you'll end up getting.
