| Yes, indeedy! I wish I'd be able to listen to the GOP Messiah, Rush, tomorrow. But it's just too busy at work these days & my phones never stop ringing. (but good for business!)

| Interesting elections tonight. Even more interesting are the reactions to the elections, and what they might mean or not mean. The Republicans appear to be beside themselves taking the stance that tonight's elections are a stiff finger in the eye of Barack Obama, specifically. While Democrats are rallying behind the shield that these elections had absolutely nothing to do with Obama. I think it's a mixture of both. I don't think the elections tonight are so much anti-Obama as they are anti-Democrat ... more specifically, they're a push back against the left-wing policy pushes over the past year(ish) which have dominated the political landscape. Obama still has some pretty positive numbers, and a lot of people I know are still gushing with candy-flavored Obama induced euphoria. I don't think the state and local elections are directed at him, per se. Policies like health care and cap and trade took a sharp snap back at the Democrats tonight, and if they don't wake up, it's going to be a slavering teeth that will dismember them next year. Politicians with the Hoyer mindset ("I don't care what my constituents say, I'm going to vote the way I want to") are going to be unemployed and wondering WTF happened. The people casually dismissed by leftist politicians and the left-wing media (labeled "teabaggers") are going to be out in force next November, like they were tonight - and these people are not going to go away. Being dismissed and belittled by the left seems to vitalize and invigorate them. If I'm a Democratic Congressman, I'd be paying rapt freaking attention to what happened this evening. These people are not just "teabaggers" and subjects within your kingdoms to be treated only as sources of revenue and unwilling victims in your political power-plays. They're people. They vote. And from what I can see over here, they're pissed off that you won't listen to them as you continue piling unwanted #### upon their heads. The next 12 months should be fun to watch.

| I just wanted to see the dems take it up the poop chute. It's not looking good right now but I'll take two out of three. Especially since the 2 winners were such high profile elections. Last edited by Sonsie : 11-04-2009 at 01:11 AM. |

I'd rather have the democrat than the Republican that's going to vote with them anyways.. Bottom line with her turining all her support to the Dem, and the Dem only MARGINALLY winning.. yeah, that's HUGE.. It SHOULD have been a landsllide againsta an unknown 3rd party candidate. The conservative candidate came across as a nut job..
