Interesting Law in Florida

There's a new law on the ballots down here in Florida that many may find interesting. It states that personal injury lawyers are limited to their costs plus a $150,000 fee, reguardless of what settlement a client receives. What's really fun to watch is all of the PI lawyers, who were all over TV telling people how they would stand up for them, that the most important thing to them was making sure we get fairly compensated, etc., are now saying that they'll refuse to take cases if they'll only make $150,000.

The true colors are showing.

If it goes into effect, I bet the 2005 or 2006 phone directory for Miami or Orlando will have none of the lawyer's ads in it.
