The conversation should not be whether Southern Maryland will grow or not. The conversations should be what steps should Southern Maryland be taking to provide an ever expanding infrastructure without putting the cost on the backs of the present residents.

I am surprised no one has mentioned the fact that the military usually has a very well planned evacuation and disaster plan. I am surprised they have not been approached about assisting Southern Maryland with the master plans based on existing plans.

As a Navy Brat... I see the Navy as a good neighbor.... I always have and always will... They don't make excuses... They get the job done.... I like that...

That is just more of the surrender and submit mentality. My plan is too put a stop to the expantion and to stop the growth and then save our infrastructure from this senseless greed.

The only evacuation and disaster plan the Navy has here is to take care of only the Navy. They might evacuate the Base or protect the Base from disasters but that is it. We had a hurricane here in 2003 and the communications went down (as did other things) and Pax Navy Base battened down its hatches and nothing else. If CCNPP decides to go nuclear then run for the hills and remember the actions of the military in New Orleans. That is my advise.

I find that to be true too that the Navy has always been decent here in St. Mary's County but recently we have our political leaders calling for new programs at Pax and they are scewing it up.

Perhaps I failed to explain the plan so I will try again here.

When I say that the County schools are overcrowded and it needs to be stopped, well it is the County gov that controls the schools and the Board of Education (BOE) controls its budget and expenditures in cooperation with the County Commissioners. So they are the ones that will make plans for the schools and the BOE will do the plan. As the State Delegate for 29B then I will stop the pressure being forced onto the schools so then the schools can work out the plans for themselves. Recently in Editorials my opponent John Bohanan(D) has blamed the overcrowded schools on the County gov and the BOE and so while he is blaming them for his own reckless policies all he himself is doing is nothing to help stop the problem of overcrowding that has been created by his own policy of unrestricted growth and Navy Base expantion. I will put a stop to this.

See SOMD News link here, Cusick verses Bohanan on Education.

The same is true with the inadequate roads in that the Highway Department and County gov will do the actual planning. As the State Delegate for 29B I will stop the wanton growth and then they will fix the roads. And the Detention Center is run by the Office of the Sheriff and the County gov so in 29B we need to stop creating the crime by stopping the out of control growth. etc., etc., etc.

That is the plan.

This was actually my third ad in the Enterprise as I had not started posting here on the Community Forum when I put out the very first ad back when I first registered as a candidate on December 19, 2005, so I just did not post the info here at that time. Then the Enterprise did a fast news report about me entering the race and it did not tell what my website URL was so I wrote up a fast ad for the following Enterprise and published on the Wednesday after Christmas. That first ad gave straight info with both my subject platform and the Editors gave it a donkey in the middle with stars on each side of the ad and it too was a small 1" by 2 column ad. So there have been three (3) ads so far and another fourth one coming soon.

I went through this with him a while back. I asked what legislation he would introduce to accomplish his goals. I figured if he is this concerned, he probably has a dozen or so bills drafted and ready to go. His answer? The laws are fine as they are. No changes needed. Just electing him is all it takes.

He doesn't even know what the job of a representative is, but he's going to fix everything.

I'm growing tired of you. Do you have any concept of what an idiot you make of yourself and just what a fool you make of yourself by continuing with this so-called campaign? I was a senior staff member on Capitol Hill for a former senior Senator. You are just silly in comparison.

Well that explains a lot. "Staff member" has to be a freudian slip. Congressional page. And before KY. I'm finally starting to understand you.
