Well then maybe you need to make the bridge an issue for re-election... I bet you would get some people who would promise to build you one...

I would only promise to make noise about a new lane and keep it in the spotlight because I have been told the only thing I could do is lobby... I'd be glad to keep it in the spot light down here so that someone will keep looking into it....

Food Lion opened today... I stood on the corner with a sign that asked "Where's the Green Space".

The Green Space I was asking about is the park that the "plan" was based on. Johnny Gott continues to hold the deed to the 2 acres of land that he offered to donate. He has held that deed through moving the Parkway, getting the Food Lion instead of the Safeway... and now I have no idea why he is still holding it.

If he were to give the deed over today... the county would have 1 year to develop the park or the land would revert to Gott.... that's the deal....

The County put away $275,000 for this year's expenditure on the park... and $275,000 for next year....

I know we have a really nice park at Cove Point...and we can ride a bike to Solomons.... but we were promissed a green space with retail built within... I want the Green Space we were promissed...

Oh and the exit from Food Lion onto HG Truman is a Right Turn Only.... that didn't stop 8 out of 10 from turning left out of there today....

I asked the county what they are doing... are you ready for this?

They say they are swapping soil...

We have had .8" of additional rain in the last 4 hours on top of some well soaked ground. If they are building a drainage base, it is working and working very well.

I saw something that looked like a hole for a foundation in a location that is either the park area or the park itself... so I contacted the Planning & Zoning contact... at first I was told it was a stormwater retention area and when I balked about the location being in the park... I was told it's for swapping soil... I have never heard of anything like that....

A pond bigger than the one at the intersection of HG Truman and Town Center.... there across from Appeal....

I hope he doesn't think we want a stormwater retention in our park.... that would really get me upset!

For those of you who are interested..... I think I'm going to take my sign back to the Food Lion parking lot some time this weekend...It would be really cool if there were more than one sign out there....
