What is unjust is the law that gives the custodial the power to steal and degrade the separated parents - the child's other parent.
She also said he made over $100,000 that year. What could cost so much that he can't afford $280 a week for his kid? Hmmmmmmmmm

Also you have not answered my math question yet.

You are the custodial parent. Your spouse is ordered to pay you $55.76 a week. You have to work so you use before and after care provided by ST. Mary's Rec and Parks. The care costs $311 a month. Considering there are 4.3 weeks per month how much "extra cash" is left over from the child support for you to party on?

That would imply that he has to do some rational, mathematical thinking to come up with the answer. I wouldn't hold your breath if I were you, you're likely to pass out first.

Yep, that looks like the government is raking him for 60%. Poor guy can hardly afford his lap dances anymore.

Well, let's see..........ex bought a new home that is almost waterfront, a new boat, a new car, very expensive golf clubs, and a very large multi-carat ring for new wifey, and of course I forgot about the week in Bermuda. So, for $280 a week I want to draw blood?? I agreed to that price because our divorce was friendly! Did I take him to court for more $$ and because he is behind? No!! Am I drawing blood?? No!! If I want to take that $280 a month and spend it at Abercrome, so what?! Trust me, the ex is not even close to being penniless. Since we are friendly, and I am re-married and do not need the $$, I do not nag him. But, if I had an ex like you, I would take him to the cleaners.

Must have gotten kicked off the computer at the library. Like I said before, with the money he saved from not paying his child support you would have thought he could afford a computer of his own.

Everybody in this world has a hard time with money. Even the Queen of Britain has to accept restraints on her buying and her spending. President Bush lives in a budget too. No one has enough and there is no end to people's wants. Thus the custodial is giving a false cry of need when the children are all fine and have all their physical needs already met and full as they are now, and all the custodial wants is fancier clothes and hundred dollar sneakers.

My child support case is long time closed and done. Now I am trying to reform the law only so it will stop hurting other families.

I do understand that very well and I am trying to agree with you if you will let me. The amounts are based on percentages but the law says that the amount is to BE percentages. It says to be percentages and not based on percentages. Thus the Courts are knowingly doing it wrong - criminal Courts, and criminal laws.

Why do you continue to care about percentages? You have already admitted that your real goal is to abolish support enforcement.

Of course you realize that without support enforcement, there is no stick to make losers like you pay. Percentages or not is irrelevant.

By the way, are you proud that your son has been inducted into the deadbeat club? Just like dear old dad: drugs and abandoning his child.
