Wesley Clark is a bold face liar.

His commercial just featured amputee veterans and the last line was

"When you hear people say watch out for terrorists, it is BECAUSE of Iraq."

9/11 was because of Iraq?

You are a stinking liar, a rejected political wannabee, a wretched nasty liar in a Brooks Brothers suit.

I am stinking amazed at the Lilly livered wussies who sat in horror, glued to the TV for days after 9/11 why they tried to find body parts, shook their fists at the world and cheered when Bush said "You are with us or against us", flew American flags from cars, houses and businesses, and now have turned chicken shait.

I am disgusted that after years and years American deaths and policy of "turning the other cheek" and "measured responses" we got a real American president to take the fight to them, change the American stance on terrorism and defiance and he gets ridiculed, called a chimp, attacked endlessly, called names and used as a whipping boy all the while every stinking one of them is on the record condemning Saddam and they have no "plan" to change.

It pizzes me off that the left and the MSM have vilified a good man who did what he thought was right, with the support of the IWR, and insists instead of cutting and running now just because it is "too hard". I fear, I really fear for our country because we have become a bunch of wussified hand wringers who do not have the tenacity, the will, and the moral courage to do the hard stuff.

America is not a success and the world leader because we cherry picked the low hanging fruit. We didn't give up and stop in New England because it was "too hard". We didn't stop that the Appalachian mountains because it was "too hard". We didn't stop at the Mississippi River because it was "too hard". We didn't roll over and pizz ourselves during the great depression, the stock market crash, the dust bowl because it was "too hard". We didn't cut and run in North Africa, Anzio, Midway, Okinawa, Sicily, Omaha beach, and Bastione because it was "too hard". We didn't stop reaching for space after sending a chimp into orbit because it was "too hard".

We are Americans! We became Americans because tough sonsa biatches in the late 1700's didn't say "Eff it, this British thing is too hard, lets go home." Only a complete moron who has no concept of reality nor knowledge of history thinks that we would go into Iraq, depose a dictator who had been in power for 30 years, restore order, put a government in place, ensure stability and then come home in 12 months with 8 or 9 casualties. Bush said it was going to take a long time and we are committed to doing it. Americans crowed around their TV's and watch riveting footage on CNN, and cheered. Now they whine and cry and call Bush names. Bush is sticking to his word, and his story has not changed. What has changed is the American will to do what is right.

The Democrats have a plan. They want to slap a few memo's on the Iraqi governments desks then pull out. Within a few months of the resulting civil war, Iran will move in and take over Iraq, oil prices will go through the roof, gas prices will be outrageous, the region will be in utter chaos and terrorist organizations will know without a shadow of a doubt we are the big giant pussies that they always thought were were and they will attack over and over again with their eye on the big booby prize. The Democrats with go "See what those Republicans did " The resulting mess will hit everyone of us.

If you are even toying with the idea of voting Democrat you are voting for exactly this.

After they throw the middle east into turmoil they will.

They are going to roll back tax cuts. Your tax bill will increase back to what it was before and then they will add some on.

The government will stop trying to catch terrorists who are calling contacts in the US.

They will abandon the Patriot act.

They will throw the door open with Mexico and we can add more taxes to feed, clothe, immunize, and support illegal immigrants.

They will allow illegals to vote because they will not allow a single effort to verify identity of voters.

Remember Al Gore? The guy who addressed a conference in Saudi Arabia and bad mouthed his own country? That is the party you are voting for.

Pete
If you weren't a guy and I wasn't married to the best woman for me, I'd want you.

Women, Here is a real man for you. Step up.

Pete, I agree with you 1000%....BUT...(and I've been a born and bred GOP participant from the moment I could spell poloticks )... how do we go from doing the right thing to finding the right people that can make sure that happens? I have never in my life voted Democrat (God rest my mother's soul for me even thinking otherwise)....but I just don't see McKay, and this Wood guy (29B for me) as being anyone who epitomizes what the Republicans need to carry on in any of the situations you've described... it's service...not self-service.

Are you voting tomorrow??

Pete: Please tell me you aren't voting for McKay. If you are, I have lost all respect I have for you.

Am I voting tomorrow? Hell Yea, 3 times. Since it is so horrible to ask for photo ID I figure I might as well beat the Democrats at their own game.

As far as McKay, I am not sure what I am going to do. Dyson is not an alternative in my mind not because he has a "D" but because he is on the wrong side of the issues. What I would like to do is to send a message to the GOP in SMC that they need to come up with some viable candidates instead of the good old boy "connected" people.

In the end local candidates are less identified by "party". Look at how often they swap parties just to get into races. I would have no quams about voting for a local Democrat IF they were reasonable and one the right side of issues that affect me locally.

Anyway a no vote is just as valid as a vote for.

I was just razzing you on the voting... After the speech you gave earlier, I'm leaving for the polls right now. I don't know what I'm going to do when I get there, but I know that even as a die-hard (R), Dyson has at least been somewhat respectable (good Lord...did I have to use "somewhat"?)

...and that counts for something in my book with the alternatives. Sure, they all have their skeletons...but I know what kind of soup sandwich we'll all be holding with the alternatives at this point.

I thought SMC was "vote early, vote often"... just 3?

Can I say?

A person near and dear to me (you in the know, know who I mean) frequently spews leftist gar-baje. But they are voting for McKay,

I about fell down and went into convulsions.

If it were me, it would be a tough call. But you have to weigh personal weasely-ness vs. his vote in the GenAss. And while McKay has a...um...very interesting personal life, Dyson's votes don't weigh in with my interests.

So there's that to consider when touching your screen tomorrow. Don't vote for the person - vote for the vote.
