Calling All Actors - Open Auditions

The Patuxent Playhouse nonprofit community theater group will be holding open auditions for our next production, “Play On!” by Rick Abbot. Auditions will be held at the Southern Community Center located at 20 Appeal Lane in Lusby, MD.

AUDITION DATES AND TIMES:
Tuesday, January 22 – 8:00pm-10:00pm
Thursday, January 24 – 8:00pm-10:00pm

ABOUT THE SHOW:
A theater group is trying desperately to put on a play in spite of maddening interference from a haughty authoress who keeps revising the script. Act I is a rehearsal of the dreadful show, Act II is the near disastrous dress rehearsal, and the final act is the actual performance in which anything that can go wrong does. The audience is treated to a madcap climax to a thoroughly hilarious romp. Even the sound effects reap their share of laughter in Rick Abbot's Play On!

IF YOU PLAN TO AUDITION:
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Actors are encouraged to prepare a monologue if you want to showcase your talents in a particular way! This is not required. Please bring a headshot or recent picture as well. Appointments are not required. You may show up at any time during the audition time of the specified nights. There will be 3 male and 7 female parts available. Character descriptions for available roles can be found on the web at Patuxent Playhouse Auditions

they'd be beating down my door!

I'd be so rich, that I'd be able to afford designer coffee!
