I haven't heard Howard on satellite (I have XM on DirecTV), but I would agree. My hunch is that satellite has the boundaries of taste you would find for stand-up comedy or for album comedy. The line is further out than in broadcasting, but it's still there. Performers like Pryor and Kinison and Hicks knew how to be dangerous even with the freedom of on-stage performing. These three sounded emasculated when they appeared on broadcast TV. (Remember the intro to Pryor's NBC series?) Howard comes from a broadcasting background, so he only knows where the boundaries are for the airwaves. I imagine Howard thinking on his first day with Sirius, "Hey, I'll think I'll say the F-word 200 times just because I can!"

Actually, it's Artie that does that. Artie has always been my favorite on the show since he started there. I think he is hilarious. However, since they've switched to Sirius, every other word out of his mouth is foul. I can take foul language, but not as extreme as that. He says a lot more than the F word too.

Plus they have a bunch of F-U sound effects playing daily...

When I'm not listening to Howard, I listen mostly to the Elvis station (channel 13).
