I think alot of people could work with that mileage, or less, for an around-the-town car. I just think that the price he shelled out vs the performance stinks.

No kidding, you can make to Waldorf, where your trapped for the recharge time........

$15K total, and you get a 30mph range, and no heater, and auxillary power systems (steering and brakes) that have been cobbled together, with who knows what reliability.

I do love the part about his wife, she drives an inefficient car, but one that actually can do the job......unlike his efficient one, that cant.

If I could find batteries that would support 150 mile range @ 65 MPH I would do it.
