Yes, it is me again, PilatesGirl with one other question/request. As I was saying in my last post, we recently moved to St. Mary's county from Calvert county and I am in need of a cat/pet sitter who has experience with diabetic pets. One of our cats (maybe the one that peed on our chairs) is diabetic and requires insulin twice a day.
Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. I live in California, MD, right over the Solomons bridge.
Thx.

Hello there,

We recently moved into a new house with our three cats. I have 2 vintage leather chairs that were given to me by my parents as an early inheritance. There was much begging involved :) Well, within two weeks of being in our new house, I found that one of our cats (I can't figure out which one) had peed on both of the leather chairs. Thankfully the leather is black and it didn't stain, but I can't get rid of the odor! My parents are coming in two weeks for a visit and of course are looking forward to seeing their chairs, but I need to get rid of the smell asap! I have tried 'Nature's Miracle' from Petco and it did not help at all. I have looked all over online for a 'miracle' solution and there is one recipe that calls for 3% hydrogen peroxide mixed with baking soda and dish soap. I am a little hesitant because of the peroxide.
Has anyone had an luck in this kind of situation? Is there a place in the area that may be able to apply some sort of treatment?
Your answers are much appreciated!
Thx.
She uses a litter pan and I scoop it out several times a day to ensure she has a nice clean spot--still 1-2 times a week I find a suprise wet spot. Is she mad at me? the kid? the dogs? I dont know. This thursday we are getting new carpet in 3 rooms and i'm not even excited about it. I fear she will ruin it within hours. ANY tips/suggestions or ?? is appreciated. Since I have raised her since birth it's very hard to just 'get rid' of her and that is not an option right now. THANKS!!

We have an older cat, maybe around 14, who within the past few years has started to meow constantly. Food bowl filled, box cleaned, doesn't appear to be in pain. Last year the vet said he was healthy, he is due soon to go again.
He has lived in the same house since a kitten.

Has anyone had experience with this? What did you do? It is driving my mom insane, she yells at him to stop. I may be reinforcing the behavior because I give him attention to make him (and mom) stop. Could it be caused by hearing loss/cloudy sight due to his old age? He just stares at you and meows loudly. And recently he has started running to the bathroom (opened door, lights off) and just meowing as he stares into it.

TIA
