Re-cap

The second half of the season for most teams starts this week and there have been some surprises so far in the NFL and in fantasy land. This years nice surprises include:

Derek Anderson - A guy was not drafted in any league by anyone. Frye started the season and Brady Quinn was probably picked up more than Anderson was during the draft. Now, Frye is gone, Quinn is on the bench still, and Anderson is one of the top scoring QBs in fantasy football.

Jeff Garcia - Yes, he proved he could win in Philly, but nobody thought TB had the tools for him and the fact that he is the starter is a different story. Garcia is a top 12 QB which means he is a safe bet just about every week.

Adrian Peterson - People thought he would be good but were worried about injuries and sharing time. He is a stud and the number 2 scoring RB that's healthy (still behind Ronnie Brown).

Brian Westbrook - The only shining light on the Eagles O this year. His catching is what really helps since Philly has not standout WR.

Marshawn Lynch - It's not really that he is better than expected, it's more that other top backs in the draft haven't performed as expected.

Lamont Jordan - Who knew Oakland's line could let him stay healthy and perform.

Randy Moss - Actually he was my number 4 ranked WR, but even I didn't expect him to be this good.

Braylon Edwards - Wasn't ranked low because of him, he was ranked low because of the iffy QB situation in Cleveland.

Houshmadilla - Everyone expected him and Chad Johnson to be in opposite places.

Wes Welker - Was supposed to be the number 3 WR and nobody expected the Pats to throw quite like they have been.

Kevin Curtis - Wasn't Reggie Brown supposed to be here?

And your top dissapointments of the season:

Drew Brees - It's getting better but a horrible start has killed his fantasy value.

Most of your 1st round RBs -Steven Jackson, Larry Johnson, Shaun Alexander, Maroney, Rudi Johnson and Frank Gore are all performing a lot worse than most thought.

Marvin Harrison - Injuries have kept him from being a top WR.

Lee Evans - Not quite performing like last year but has improved the last couple weeks. Buffalo's passing game has been lacking as a whole.

Reggie Brown - Another guy who was expected to work a lot better this year than he has. He too, has gotten better the last couple weeks.
