Had a Pleco years ago. We called it the dinosaur fish. It survived all kinds of abuse that woulda (and did) kill lots of other fish. It had chunks of its head eaten by crayfish when it was young, moved from PA to MD, from 1 apt. to another, from Timonium to Frederick, had the heater break and water get too hot, got out of the bucket when I was cleaning the tank 1 time and wa on the carpet for atleast 30 minutes, had all the water drain outta the tank once, it lived thru all of this, all the other fish died many times, but it lived. When I first bought it, it was only about 2 inches long, and when it died, it was up to about a foot or more. Thing was almost hardier than a NYC cockroach. Can't wait until I finish my basement and build a 120 (or more) gallon tank into one of the walls.
