I always make the corn stuff with the jiffy mix and tons of butter..its pure junk food but its so good and men love it for some reason.

and take fresh green beans..blanch them, wrap little bundles in bacon and sprinkle with some garlic olive oil and toss int he oven. they are good and so cute.

We got one of those infrared oilless turkey deep fryers that my husband insists on using... not a huge fan.

Corn pudding or corn casserole

Ingredients
1 (15 1/4-ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained
1 (14 3/4-ounce) can cream-style corn
1 (8-ounce) package corn muffin mix (recommended: Jiffy)
1 cup sour cream
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
1 to 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a large bowl, stir together the 2 cans of corn, corn muffin mix, sour cream, and melted butter. Pour into a greased 9 by 13-inch casserole dish. Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from oven and top with Cheddar. Return to oven for 5 to 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted. Let stand for at least 5 minutes and then serve warm.

I wish I'd have just stuck with one of them, I'm always so scared of the possibility of fire from them. Went with this one

Amazon.com: Char-Broil The Big Easy Oil-Less Infrared Turkey Fryer: Patio, Lawn & Garden

And it's near impossible to get the bird out after you cook it. I get burnt every time.

Its completly closed, no oil flying out. I set mine on the kitchen counter and let it cook. Never had a problem other than the turkey sticking to the bottom of the basket once in a while.

The way I cook my greenbeans is not healthy, but what the hell, its only once a year. Fresh greenbeans snapped, cover with water, add salt & Pepper to taste, I also throw in a few potatoes. Boil until desired tenderness, (I like mine soft, no crunch when you bite into them). Drain, put back in pan and while they're still hot, add bacon grease and bacon bits if you have them. So good!!!! I know, I know, unhealty as all get out...but
