Does anyone else have to raise the rack in the oven when baking cookies? I just burnt up a batch of PB Cookies on the bottom. Grrrr

Since heat rises, wouldn't the top of the oven be hotter?

.... and why can't you just set the temp lower?

Def a good idea to do lower temp. My house smells like burnt cookies. Dang it.

1) your oven temp is to high
2) you need better cookie sheets

Try BBB they have some nice quality cookie sheets. Ive had mine for 6 years. They were $25 a piece. Worth every penny.

I have good cookie sheets. I had put alum foil down on them and some Pam. Will definitely try the lower oven temp.

Along with the above suggestions also use parchment paper to set the cookie dough on.

Ever since I switched to parchment paper, I've never burnt a batch of cookies, they usually come out perfect.

Oh yea grab some parchement. I think the aluminum foil is just conducting more heat to the pan is why they are burning.

Is parchment paper in the same aisle as the foil? Thanks for the suggestions everyone.
