Why wouldn't just workout both arms instead of looking like a freak? I guess it's "look at me" thing too...

Actually. although rather freakish looking..it's a smart move. Arm wrestlers, like boxers, are categorized by weight class. By not bulking up all over, he is able to arm wrestle smaller, lighter weight people, thereby increasing his odds for a victory.
