Post Seasonal Flu Vaccination Clinic Cancelled

The St. Mary’s County Health Department Seasonal Flu Vaccination Clinic, scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 20 from 4-7 p.m. at Leonardtown High School, has been cancelled due to lack of vaccine. Scheduling future public flu clinics depends on the availability of vaccines.

For more information about the flu clinic or St. Mary’s County Health Department, call 301-475-4330 or log on to St. Mary's County Health Department Links.

Yeah, really great. I'm sure Calvert will be next. Just got a call today from the pediatrician canceling our appointment for Wednesday. Our 7 month old was supposed to get his booster shot but they ran out of the vaccine so he's only gotten half of what he needs.

Then they told me about the clinics at the high schools over the next few weeks. I'm sure they will be packed and we'll be stuck there for hours. That's if they even still have the vaccine available by that time. They also recommended that we get him the H1N1 at the clinic, not thinking I'm going to do that though.

Sorry, I haven't heard anything about whether the mist is still available or not. I didn't think to ask them. Our son was scheduled for his 2nd shot. I don't know if they give the mist to babies, not sure, little man is only 7 months old.

I don't have any babies. I was just wondering if the shortage just pertained to the kids' vaccine. I wonder if Giant, Safeway etc. are out too.

I got mine at the end of September at work.
