My kids are higher risk, asthma. That's why I'm sweating it. If they didn't I wouldn't be as worried. But it would be nice if the health dept. set aside some for the higher risk children. I have my fingers crossed that they'll get it in time before coming down sick.

Oh heck yeah, I'd be wanting the vaccine too. Have you checked into getting them the pnemonia vaccine since it seems to be the secondary infection that is causing the most problems?

It's bogus. While I believe the disease does exist, it is no where near as prevalent as "they" would like us to believe and it isn't as dangerous in MOST cases as they would like us to believe.

I had my daughter in the doctor's office for a regularly scheduled visit. I heard them talking about H1N1 in the hallway. I asked if there was a lot of it going around. He said that there was a lot of flu, but they didn't know if it was "seasonal" or H1N1.

It's pretty much all the same.
