| My favorite is Potato soup. I have a very simple recipe and it is always a big hit. I also always use the same soup pot for it to the point that now if I cook anything in it you can smell onions. 2 lg onions 1-2 Tbs butter Sautee until tender and caramelized Pour 2 lg containers of chicken broth into pot. Put 2-3 pounds of Russet potatoes (cubed into bite sized pieces) add a little salt and pepper and boil until potatoes are tender. Turn heat to low and add about a cup or two of milk. Add salt, pepper and Chicken boulion powder to taste. Use instant potatoes to thicken to desired thickness. Top with Oscar mayer real bacon bits or pieces and a mix of cheddar and mozzerella cheese. I always make this from memory and this is the first time I ever typed it out so please excuse the less than perfect formatting. |
