If you're going to get a leaf blower, I recommend a backpack like this one. Echo Backpack Leaf Blower PB260 at Epinions.com I keep mine on the lowest speed when clearing leaves out of flowerbeds, and blast it when handling volume. Great for gutters and post-lawn mowing, too. And no shoulder pain.

Best in small jobs, not big ones (as Vrai said). Especially if you've fertilized or over-seeded. Goal is to take the leaves away, not the fertilizer/seeds too. I live near the woods, so have to use it often. Love it!

Can I burn the leaves? Where do I get a burn barrel and what are the restrictions on burning?

The leaves that are collecting in my flower beds: can I just leave (haha) them there or should I clean them out?
