Yes. They're planted around the well pipe. I just put them in last year.

All help greatly appreciated thanks
I like the simplicity of a bed that's mostly perennials and bulbs with a few annuals thrown in for splashes of intense color and different foliage. You need to find the right plants for the conditions of your bed - shady/partial sun/full sun, well-drained/wet soil, acidity of soil, condition of soil, and the like.

There are a lot of very hardy perennial plants and bulbs you can use as your base and they work well in most situations: oriental lilies, daylilies, coral bells, liriope, dianthus, coneflowers, lavender, coreopsis, lobelia, rudbeckia, phlox, salvia, etc. Some easy annuals: aster, baby's breath, cornflower, cosmos, dianthus, marigold, scabiosa, zinnias, petunias, dusty miller, coleus, etc.

Talking with a garden center professional is a great suggestion given earlier. Good luck and happy gardening!

You could also try Impatiens and Begonias - and Pansies. If you want bushes, go for Forsythia and [late summer bloomer] Crepe Myrtles. Depends on your planting space and lighting.
