kwanzan cherry's are actually the last of the cherries to bloom around here, with okami blooming first, then yoshino (what is at the mall) and finally kwanzan. that is how you can usually tell what cherry it is. a quick tip is to look for the horizontal lines in the bark. then you will always know it is a cherry.
