Paint Sprayers

Are they worth it? Or is doing it with a roller and brush the way to go?
any recomendations on brand/model?

Paint Sprayer isn't what they are. TV commerical made it look easy, but it is not.

Good Old Fashion painting with rollers and pan and paintbrushes are the best way to go. It may be more work, but worth the time and trouble.

I was wondering if someone picked out a wonky color and needed prayers to make sure it looked good.

I got a pressure supplied roller and for big jobs it was nice. Forget about stopping painting to get paint on the roller and you save a lot of time and effort. It does take about 1/2 hour to clean it all up nicely though afterwrad.

I thought it was choice of praying for it to change color by the hand of God or doing it yourself.

If I thought that really worked, I'd have to start praying.

If it's something that can easily be painted with a roller, the roller provides a better coat. If the surface is very uneven, like t-111 siding, the sprayer does a better job of covering. If you're doing something like a fence, the sprayer is just SO much faster than hand painting, but there's waste due to over-spray.

Yeah, it would kind of help to know what needs painting. Bedroom, chair, deck, exterior, fence, car or boat bottom.

I was wondering if you had to pray to get the color right.

I've been using a Wagner Power Sprayer(prayers not included), for about 8 years now, and it does a great job on my decks, and my backyard security fence, after I've power washed them, and they've dried sufficiently.

True, overspray results in a loss of the product, but the job gets done real fast for me. Looks good too.
