You've got to be kidding! Have you seen the application those greeneries make you fill out? They want to do a pre-soil inspection BEFORE you are allowed to adopt your flat. And did you know you aren't allowed to transplant your flowers later on if you decide you no longer like the location they are in. And don't get me started on the pages of rules and regulations regarding cuttings and splitting.

Who's still gardening?
Heat's gone? Where'd it go?

This spell of hot weather is really hard on the greenhouses the Amish and Mennonites have in the area.
I saved some from virtual death last Saturday some salvia, dalhali, and a hanging basket of petunia's.
It takes OHG about an hour to weather all the things Ive planted too. Every year I always say Im cutting back and always seem to end up with just about as much or more then the year before.

Went to Green Acres last week. I had never been so late in the season before, WOW, everything is really over grown. Bought tomatoes, basil, scented geraniums, eggplant, jalepenos, portulaca...

And they had all the fall plants started...broccoli, collards, Brussel sprouts...yummy! Gonna go back in about a month and get some.

(The Greenery in Park Hall closing has opened a whole new world for me!)
