I had one that lived under my shed when I lived in Indian Head. I use to leave him sliced up apples.

I have one in my backyard that I see all the time, but I haven't found his burrow yet. When the dog sees him her eyebrows go up, but that's the only reaction.

Be glad it's only one or two of them. When I worked in NY at an airfield, there was a city of them adjacent to the runway. One day the grass cutters were out. Now these grass cutters are huge, one tractor with a 12 foot tow-behind and a 20 foot cutting extension on each side. All of a sudden the tractor disappears. Fell right into their city up to the cab.

And then the ground hogs descended upon and devoured the hapless operator who had fallen into their trap?

Never saw him again. And over the course of a few weeks, the tractor was slowly dismantled, the parts being swallowed by the earth. A few months later there were very strange noises coming from that area, but no one had the nerve to investigate.....

One day my Boxer started growling out the window, there was a The biggest Groundhog I've ever seen ON my deck!
He took one look at what he probably thought was the ugliest dog he ever saw and ran away.
Never saw it again, but just in case, I've been practicing with my trusty Wrist Rocket Sling Shot.

We had to use a have a heart trap from R and D cross in upper marlboro. Finally lured him in after he ran under our shed. Plugged up one of the escape holes and he came out of the other into the set up trap.

I realize this is probably a "po-TAY-to/po-TAH-to thing," but are you certain you don't have a mole problem? I know, I know, a burrowing animal is a burrowing animal. Both of them are nuisances.(sp??)
