| programmable thermostat? I want to install a programmable thermostat in my house, but we have a heat pump, and every thermostat I have looked at says "Not for heat pump systems." What am I supposed to use? Is there a special one for heat pumps? (I dont know much about heat pumps, I'm from CA) |

|  You should call a local HVAC company. THC is a good company and has always showed me different options and good deals. |

| If you go to Lowes and buy one I can tell you how to install it. It's not hard to put in as long as your careful. I would recommend Honeywell but I dont know if paying $200 is worth it. Does it detect outside temp and humidity? Most good ones will have a filter reminder flag. Make sure that you buy, for the max capabilities of your unit that you currently have installed, which will give you, your best performance = best savings in the long run.
