Orchid Cactus

I bought this Orchid Cactus in 1982 while temp. living in Titusville FL, it only blooms at night; usually after 3am.
The single bloom made it through the storm last Fri. and the hailstorm on Sat.
Before and after...only 1 complaint-no fragrance.

I have a night blooming cerris that I inherited from my grandma when she passed. It was her favorite plant. I had it 18 years before it bloomed for me. It was the night I was playing softball and when I got home, the whole place was filled with a magical scent. I've gotten it to bloom a few times since, even had four blooms at one time. It does a lot better when I water it more often. I've made a bunch more plants by rooting stems and have given them all away. Don't know if they had blooming success.

I thought it was a Cereus but it doesn't have a fragrance?!?
Legend has it; it’s enchanting fragrance has the power steal your soul.
The flower is limp and lifeless shortly after blooming. I usually have 4-6 blooms too, this year just 1.
