If this is the first year you have conditioned the space, your wood is probably drying out..

You might want to check the angle of the outward tilt; AND to prevent moisture build up, drill a couple small holes in the bottom of the unit, on the outside, avoiding coolant lines. It sounds like moisture is building up in the bottom of the unit and running inside, thus warping the wood floor.

Keep in mind, you will have to periodically have to clear the holes, due to "slime" build up; a paper clip works nicely.

Edit: When the fan is running, do you hear what sounds like water "sloshing?"
"Modify" your A/C; make sure the mods work; then work on the floors.

AC units run more efficiently if there is water in their base pan. This is why, when you look at them, the drain hole is raised above the bottom of the pan and not the other way around.. They want there to be some water in the bottom while the AC is running.

A lot of window a/c units use a "slinger ring" on the condenser fan blade. The idea is that it'll allow a bit of water buildup in the base, and a ring on the fan blade will contact the water and "sling" it into the condenser coil, which helps cool it better. A pretty good design actually. On a hot humid day it can really help reject the heat to the outdoors as the condenser evaporates the water thrown on it.

Wirelessly posted (Samsung Galaxy S III )

Not to mention she would have seen the water on the floor and not have to ask here.
