I got a pair of Kenmore front loaders a few years back. I love the way they clean, how little soap, bleach and softener you have to put in.

I hate how small the wash bin is, can't get the big quilts in like I could with the top loader, even tho it's one of the largest capacities. I can put two to three loads in from the washer into one dryer load. Front loaders tend to "retain water". After using it, I have to make sure the detergent tray is pulled out and drained, and leave the door open so it doesn't get moldy.

Yes. But the maintenance costs are pretty high, and the disposal fee is a killer!

I was going to say I've had a couple of Maytags & been supremely happy with them. My last was a one-piece front loader with the dryer on top. Small, but efficient & trouble-free.
