| I wish I had taken a picture, its dark when I leave for work and dark when I get home. Maybe they will bloom this weekend. I just dont recall seeing spring daffidills this early. You know like "Happy Valentines day! Let me go out and pick ya' some daffidills!!" |

| Our house in Waldorf always had daffodils in January. They lined the side of the house between the foundation and the sidewalk. It was not unusual to have blooms by late January/early February. I know I have knocked snow off of daffodils many years when we were in Waldorf. We're in a much shadier location now and the daffodils on the south side (along the property line, not next to the house) have just started to peek through the ground. Same with the crocuses around the lamp post on the east side. I'm not noticing an earlier spring, if that's what you're asking, though today on Indian Head highway near Accokeek, I saw a Japanese flowering plum with about 20 blossoms on it.
