I haven't seen any daffodils yet, but I have seen a few forsythias starting to bloom.

I was going to plant spinach today, this rain made the ground just wet enough that I can't get in the garden. Shoulda done it yesterday.

If I recall correctly, my early Spring daffodils came up this time last year. You would think it was the amount of sunlight they get that prompts them to bloom (which would be the same no matter how mild the winter), but apparently it's temperature.

I'd try to get a picture, but I get home too late at night, its dark. They have blooms on the top and are just waiting to get open, they are only a few inches off the ground.

Is this a sign that winter is over instead of a woodchuck this year?

Nah, it's a sign that the plants are confused by the fluctuating weather, especially since we had such a mild winter last year.
