| Now I remember... ...why I don't use kerosene much anymore. Needed some for my garage heater. Ran out to the gas station with my 5 gallon can. $4.15 a gallon. yikes. I used to use spare change to buy a gallon of kero. Dropped $20 on one can. Hate transporting it, I always spill some or it splashes, and whatever it hits stinks forever. Surprisingly, I got it home without spilling a drop. Hmm.... Go to put it into the 55 gallon drum which is my feed tank for the heater. Lift it up, start to pour, and it friggin' leaks from every orifice. Kero everywhere. Rats. Ok, I need a siphon hose. Find a short hose in the garage, reach under the bench to get it, and something bites me between the fingers. It was dark, so I couldn't see what it was. I suspect a spider. Rats. Tried to use the siphon, not high enough to get it going. Then I remember I have one of those squeeze-bulb siphons. Got that, and it works. yay. Empty the 5 gallon can, put it all away, kero stink everywhere. Walk into the garage, close the door and strip. Kero on my jacket, my pants, my sneakers..... just dump it on the floor. Wash up, but my hands still smell of kero. I don't see any marks or swelling yet on my fingers, so maybe the skin was too thick. If you don't hear from me tomorrow, call the medics. Glad I only have to do this once or twice a season.

| Yeah GW, remember when Kero was cheap, price went through the roof and is outrageous nowadays. Gotta be killing the kerosene stove business. Still have one but haven't used it in years.

| Mine is a vented heater, works alot like a furnace. Draws air from the outside, vents to the outside, fans to push the heated air out. Real nice, because it heats an area quickly with no fumes at all. Just set the thermostat.
