Supplements themselves will not prevent cracks. It's a proper trim at time appropriate intervals, diet, life style and terrain that will prevent cracks. How long are you going between trims? Barefoot horses need more frequent trims (generally) than shod horses. What are you feeding? If your grain contains a high amount of sugar/molassas, you might consider something without the sugar. Studies have shown that sugars are not metabolized in the horse's system appropriately and can effect the correct attachment of laminae.
