At my old house neighbor dogs used to escape and get into my trash, strewing it all over creation so that twice a week I had to spend the first 10 minutes of my day picking up trash.

So I'm glad you found a solution to the fugitive Boscoe - not only is it a pain to clean up after someone else's dog but finding the dog flattened in the middle of the road is no fun, either.

What I was able to determine is that Boscoe didn't have to dig into the trash.  Several folk had food dishes for him and he was accepted as a member of their family.

I've had others tell me recently that Boscoe use to open the house doors and come on in when there was a thunderstorm.  While I find it unlikely they seemed sincere in what they were telling me.  Maybe he is that slick.

The thread started with the new King's Corner column.  We are talking about the same thing in a way.   What is missing is a link to the column.

If its after 10 PM, call the police. If its earlier, go to the house and ask them to bring in their dog. Only works if your consistant and smileing.

People allowing their dogs to run loose seems to be a problem in many communities. #I have neighbors who actually got into a fist fight because of one of their dogs getting loose all the time. #The owner didn't empathize with the neighbor who's trash was being scattered by his dog...said "that's just what animals do" and the fight started. #LOL, guess his comment was just the straw that broke the camel's back, so to speak. #The police were called...what a mess!! #Those neighbors still don't speak to each other after 8 years...even their kids have grown up bitter toward each other and they were too young at the time to even know what was going on. Reminded me of the stories about the Hatfields and the McCoys....who knows, that famous family feud could've started because of #a dog!! #LOL
