Yeah, except when you realize how much floor funk is picked up and sucked up through the nozzle of that vacuum cleaner. Yuck!

So, yeah, I can see how getting out the vacuum cleaner, plugging it in, fitting a ponytail holder around the nozzle, turning it on, then enlisting a friend to carefully suck the hair into the tube would be so much faster and easier than the old-fashioned way.
