Vandalism at Cedar Point Credit Union

According to their website their ATM at the main site is down due to vandalism. What exactly did someone do to it, put a stick of TNT in it? It has been down for atleast a week.

Not really sure but the Bank of America ATM (drive thru mainly) has been going through changes as well.

On June 16th (Saturday I think) both ATM's at Bank of Amer told me I had entered the wrong pin # on several cards. Another time I had went to go get money out and it went through every thing except the cash giving thing. Then I went to the stand up one and did the transaction again and got the money and it registered in my account as having taken the money out twice.

On this past Saturday the Drive thru ATM was out of service period and this was right before 1pm and I believe the Saturday staff had left 15-30mins prior to my arrival. So that was a shock to see and everyone was pretty much lined up at the ATM outside the front of the bank.

So, I wouldn't be surprised if someone vandalized an ATM down here because that is too much suspicious activity for the one Bank of America for it to just be coincidences.

At approximately midnight on June 25, Maryland State Police responded to a burglar alarm at the Cedar Point Federal Credit Union ATM, 22745 Maple Drive in Lexington Park, Maryland. Upon their arrival it was discovered that culprits forced the machine open and fled with an undisclosed amount of currency. The St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations is currently investigating.

I spoke to one of the tellers about it shortly after it happened. I asked how long they thought the ATM would be down and she said it could be a couple of months because they had to order a bunch of parts for it.

That sounds more like robery than vandalism to me.
