I thought Golden Corral was the one on the corner of 235 & 4 that closed last year b/c the owner got fed up with employees ditching work and all the other b/s of running a business. I heard Wawa wants to go in there but they can't get the permits w/o a traffic impact study.

jAZZ - 88' Leonardtown High

anyways.........memory lane........mmmm.....
There used to be a Mexican Place, my dad
always took us there for lunch on weekends,
right next to the old Lexington Park moive
theater....that's where I saw E.T. like
in 82'......across from the Library before
the internet came along......you had to
do your term paper there. I remember fishing
off the pier in Town Creek, now ya gotta pay for
it, b*stards, and the Town Creek Inn, wasn't that
the bar there?.........I had soccer practice at that
vacant field in Town Creek.....I always liked that
area, but I bet it's crowded now......and I had a
bunch of friends in the Tall Timbers area......did
alot of fishing at the Marina there........

The whole block - Plaza Theater, Skipjack, other stores - is gone and a new post office is in its place. The library just moved to a new building across from LP Elementary.

Town Creek Marina. I spent MANY nights there in my wild days. It's still there, but it's now called Neptune's.

Golden Corral is now Lonestar, Kenney Shoes is a Foot Locker, Western Steer closed down last year. Behind Western Steer is a new shopping center, with Giant, Target, Lowe's, Staples, Pier One, and a bunch of other stores and restaurants.

Pennie's is still alive and kicking. I was there Wednesday night and it hasn't changed any.
