Trumpet

Anybody have a trumpet their kid isn't using that they want to get rid of? Eldest boy has decided he wants to play the trumpet and I don't want to buy one at store prices just yet.

If someone tries to get you to accept a rusty trombone instead, say no.

I have a brand new flute, mint condition, with case...

Daughter just HAD to have it last year and she SWORE she'd stick to it. Since I'm such a nice mommy, I bought it for her. After two weeks of class, she no longer wanted to play any instrument.

Your son's school should have information where you can rent one.

I have a trumpet that is fully paid for now by renting it 2 years ago. Luckily, my son stuck with it. I paid $35.00 a month and that included insurance. Good luck.

Someone's asking questions before consulting with the wife.

The school did sent home the info on where to rent one. I haven't read it all yet, but seems to me there was an admonisment about buying secondhand and/or WalMart specials...

If it's a piece of crap that doesn't play right, you're just asking for the kid to give it up without a fair trial.

We'll rent one from a reputable place.
