No but I used to work in the service department for Ralph's several years ago and still work at a dealer now. The vin Number is required to make sure the correct part is looked up for most parts including seals. There could be a mid year part change and could have more then one part number. Ask Dana or any other parts person. If you would have ordered a part and got the wrong part you would have been complaining. All you need is the last 8 of the vin. very easy and very simple. Did you say compare a seal??? LOL

Yes, I did compare seals at NAPA and you can laugh all you want. Distinguishing an eighth of an inch difference in diameter in the two choices doesn't take a rocket scientist. When you say "ask Dana or any other parts person" you don't know Dana. She is the most knowledgeable, competent parts person I've dealt with. "or any other parts person" does not go in the same sentence with Dana. Too many of these kids working in parts departments are way over their heads therefore they use the VIN system. Dana can find the part on microfiche long before the teeny booper can write down a VIN number. When Dana asks for a VIN, it's for good reason, not incompetence.

Listen, you made a statement about vin#'s, I simply said that alot of parts on todays vehicles require a vin number to reference parts. Yes I do know Dana and never had a problem with her looking up parts. A simple inside door handle for a late model LH vehicle (for example) may have 12 different part numbers depending on the build date/body code and what im saying is if you want a better chance of getting the correct part......bring your vin number. end of conversation!! have a great day!

I hope the former owner takes with him that sorry excuse for a CDL driver with him. He is THE RUDEST and I can't stand seeing him along Rt. 4.

Just read the posts, seems Ralph was a good guy. So I will say I wish him the best in his retirement. Hopefully, the new people give an extensive aggressive driver course to that dude so he can learn about himself.
